That’s 42 airfields more or less since I came here in 2012 as although I first flew into Le Touquet back in 1980 when I was a member of a group owning a Piper Cherokee, the next time I went back was after I had moved to France.

I really doubt that I’d have that many new airfield experiences under my belt if I’d stayed in the UK as France is blessed with so many and all but the most major (Saumur, Blois, Le Touquet, La Rochelle) with no landing or other fees. I didn’t even have to pay when I flew into Aurillac which had an Air France ‘Jump’ ATR waiting on the apron for the first flight, to Paris I expect, the following week. Flying in France really is a breath of fresh air!
