Here’s the video from 25th July when the young workman came to install the underfloor pipework for the heat pump. He made a good job at the start but not so good a job of the area under the bedrooms and bathroom where he finished. I think that he’d been told that he could only stay on my job up to a certain time by which he had to leave. As a result I spent an hour tidying up his work in readiness for the next stage.
Sheets of reinforcing steel will now be laid on top of the heat pump pipes and then the project will be ready for a big leap forward when the concrete floor slab is laid. I was very happy when this eventually happened (see upcoming video) as up until then the polystyrene ‘hourdis’ had been exposed to UV rays from very hot sunshine over a period of several weeks that I had been worried might damage them.
