After leaving him lying on his bed in my lounge overnight, today I laid my lovely Toddie to rest in my garden at a spot that I now realise he had indicated to me several times over the last week or so, was where he wanted to be. I won’t tell how I knew that, but I know I’m right. I won’t share any more details either, except to say that in the final moments he looked comfortable and right lying where he was before I wrapped and covered him in one of his old car covers that had lots of his marks on it and carried his scent.<\/p>\n
It was a terribly black day for me and I can say in all honesty that I’d have willingly given a year of my life for the privilege of sharing one more year with my lovely, gentle old dog.
