A few weeks ago I was approached by the Daily Telegraph newspaper in the UK to write an article about my house-build project after a comment I’d left on an article in their Property section. It’s taken a while for it to happen but it was finally published today and seems to have started a lively debate among the ‘Grand Designers’ who think I won’t win any architectural awards, the ‘Armchair Developers’ who think I don’t know anything about how to get a house built and the lovely rest of the world who realise that it was all just about realising my dream to build a house for me to live in.<\/p>\n

It looks a little different to the real article but the copy and images are the same except I’ve substituted the DT’s picture of Fleurac by one of my own as theirs wasn’t of Fleurac in the Dordogne at all.<\/p>\n
