Not quite, because the house hasn’t yet been connected to the mains supply but after today the wall-mounted outdoor lighting is all up and ready to be switched on when the time comes. This is the first lamp that went up onto the wall, over the front double-doors facing the road.<\/p>\n

Next was the one on the front of the house at the bedroom end.<\/p>\n

Then the one on the gable at the living room end facing south.<\/p>\n

Then the one on the back of the house at the living room end, facing east, followed by the one on the back at the bedroom end.<\/p>\n

It took me a long time to decide on what lights to go for and I think by going for a trad-modern design I made the right choice. I also think going for white was a good idea. Hopefully I’ll be able to get the satellite dish up tomorrow and who knows, if the porch light arrives I’ll be able to fit that as well. Then I’ll be able to move inside, although what’s holding everything up are the floor tiles and I still have no idea when they’ll be going down.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
