{"id":14692,"date":"2019-01-11T15:43:57","date_gmt":"2019-01-11T14:43:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.micro-trike.co.uk\/wordpress\/?p=14692"},"modified":"2019-01-11T15:45:01","modified_gmt":"2019-01-11T14:45:01","slug":"last-video-of-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.micro-trike.co.uk\/wordpress\/last-video-of-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"Last video of 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two flying days of 2018 really stand out for me, three if I include my last flight of the year which I shared with Dani, Wim and Sophie&#8217;s granddaughter who&#8217;s an aspiring pilot.<\/p>\n<p>The ones that I&#8217;m talking about were a pair of glorious days in September, on the 15th when I did a flight by myself in the Savannah around my &#8216;usual&#8217; local airfields and on the 16th when Wim and I flew our Weedhoppers together to a fly-in and barbecue at Ste-Foy-la-Grande in the Gironde, landing along the way at a small, recently opened private airfield at Campsegret.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve already put up links to my flights on the 16th of September and in December with Dani, but to date I haven&#8217;t done a link to the flight I did to Ste Foy with Wim. That&#8217;s now remedied below.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"To Ste-Foy-la-Grande via Campsegret in two Weedhoppers\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HUOR1hDTAyg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The day was organised by Club ULM Evasion based at Ste Foy, a very friendly bunch of people, and we had a great afternoon there. Our flight was unusual in that it was the only time that I&#8217;ve known Wim&#8217;s usually impeccable dead-reckoning navigation to let him down, and for once I found the field at Campsegret before he did, as shown in the video. On our west coast tour in 2015 it was always the other way round!<\/p>\n<p>This is my last 2018 video and I can&#8217;t wait for the new season to start so I can get cracking making some more.
